Leg Workout, My Boyfriends, & Black Coffee Virginity

Hello lovelies! Hope everyone’s Thursday is going okay :). Here’s what I’ve been up to since yesterday.

Gyming it up!

Gyming it up!I started off with my 20 minute elliptical workout:

20 Minute Elliptical Interval Workout

And then moved on to do some leg weights! I really wasn’t in the mood to use my arms, so I didn’t do a full body workout like I normally do. The booty is sore today, though, so it was a successful workout!

Leg Workout:

  • Walking Lunges: 2×20 with 60 lb dumbbell
  • Dead Lifts: 3×8 with 100 lb dumbbell
  • Squats: 3×10 with 60 lb dumbbell
  • Bridges: 3×20
  • Box Jumps: 3×15
  • Jump Lunges: 2×30
Mooscles

ARGHHH get swoll!

After my workout, I went with Kyle  to go watch his tennis match. He’s a boss at tennis and plays in our school’s intramural advanced mens league. He played so well and won with a huge margin, putting him in the finals since he’s been undefeated this quarter. That’s my boy!

After, we met up with Hot Ryan to get Vietnamese food. I joke that Hot Ryan is another one of my boyfriends (I’ve claimed 4 so far ;)) and he and Kyle (boyfriend #1) get along fairly well. Just look at the love in their eyes! They actually made me take this photo over 5 times since they couldn’t get the endearing look right haha. I’m glad our love triangle works out so perfectly.

On another note, can I get an amen for getting all of these workout clothes for $48? I’ve written a post about my love for the iPhone app Poshmark and scored all of these beauties for such a great deal. They all were new with their tags too ;). HALLELUJAH!

Sorry for bombarding you guys with photos, but how cute are these photos of Kyle losing his black coffee virginity?

IMG_2388 IMG_2389 IMG_2390

"Nope. How do you drink this??"

“Nope. How do you drink this??”

Ahhhh, I love that boy.

The rest of my day will involve lots of class, my last lab of the year, and tons of studying. I only have 7 days left of college before I go home for the summer! I hope finals go by fast .

xoxo Christine

Happy to Move!

Today is just one of those days when it feels so good to be alive. I’m in a mood where I just want to move and live vicariously! It’s days like this where I really appreciate what my body lets me do. I’m so incredibly blessed to be healthy and capable of living the active lifestyle that I try to pursue. Anyways, enough sappy talk, here’s what I’ve been up to so far!

Last night I had my last real lab of the year! Those things are the devil so I’m not complaining one bit :). I always love getting a super late night dinner with Kyle at our favorite Vietnamese restaurant after though.

Chiffon Top

Outfit of the Day! {$8 at a thrift shop!}

IMG_2126 IMG_2127 IMG_2128 After I came back, I felt exhausted but wanted to get my math homework out of the way so I would have a completely free Friday. Luckily, Kyle is really good at numbers and is always more than willing to help me out when I get stuck.

I woke up today around 7:30 after a not-so-great sleep, but felt ready to stretch my legs. I found this new app called “RunKeeper” that I think I will develop an obsession to. I’ve been whimpering about not having a Garmin (eek they’re expensive!) and wanting to track my progress as I try to get back into running. The app is awesome! It tracks your pace, splits, incline, etc and I love looking over the data on how my run went. It’s perfect because I don’t have to wear another watch and can simultaneously listen to my workout playlist. Here’s how today went:

Check out that high heart rate! Raise the roof! Woot Woot!

I know 2.5 miles isn’t a lot to some of you long distance runners, but I was happy with my negative splits and am looking forward to getting back into the running shape I was in when I played club soccer. I used to easily run less than a 7:30 mile pace- now I think I would pass out if I tried that!

Breakfast: Oatmeal with raisins, milk, and some honey, a banana, egg whites with ketchup, and coffee of course! I ended up getting some peanut butter and jelly to dip my banana in. It was SO good.

After breakfast I ended up hanging out with some friends before hitting up the gym with my bestie and the babesical (Don’t worry, I don’t really call him that… Ok, just sometimes…)

Gym with Kyle Gym with Tiana!

I started off by doing my 20 minute elliptical workout:

20 Minute Elliptical Interval Workout

And after, I completed the following strength training exercises:

  • Squat with Press: 3×10 with 45 lbs
  • Wide-Grip Lat Pulldown: 3×10 with 75lbs
  • Bicep Curls: 3×10 with 12.5 lbs
  • Dumbbell Shoulder Press: 3×10 with 12.5 lbs
  • Deadlifts: 3×10 with 85 lbs
  • Tricep Dips: 2×20 {bodyweight}
  • Calf Raises: 3×30 with 105 lbs {ouch ouch ouch!}
  • Seated Row: 3×10 with 70 lbs

I think it’s safe to say that I will be decently sore come tomorrow ;). After my great workout, I went back home and had fresh fish with lemon, a huge salad, and some ambrosia salad with some cottage cheese added for a protein kick.

Oh, and on a side note, how cool are these shorts that I snagged off Poshmark for $16? They’re new with tags and were initially $60.

tons of bling!

tons of bling!

If you haven’t heard of Poshmark, it’s an iPhone app that lets its users post and sell their old clothing. I’ve gotten SO many great deals from it and have actually made a good amount of money selling there myself.

Now it’s time to take a nap!
