Hey guys, hope you had a great Saturday!
Kyle and I would like to thank you for all the supporting comments you left on his guest post. He was nervous about how it would turn out and was so relieved to see positive feedback!
My day was pretty relaxed and nice overall, but I ended up with a pretty lousy stomach ache that lasted 8 hours- yuck.
I started off the morning with blog reading, a greek yogurt bowl, and a trip to the gym. My workout consisted of a quick 20 minute warm up on the elliptical and back/bicep strength exercises. It was an effective workout and I was in and out in less than 45 minutes!
After the gym, I ran by the grocery store to pick up some cake ingredients and also spotted some tasty looking sushi for lunch. I’m pretty certain that the sushi is what gave me the never-ending stomach ache since I wasn’t able to eat anything after. I only wonder why sushi would betray me like that. We’ve had such a long and successful history together </3. I guess I can’t help but trust a pretty face.
After eating and reading outside in the sun, I fell asleep on the couch while watching Law and Order: Special Victims Unit. I have a weird obsession with the show and have been watching way more episodes than I care to admit ;). I tend to get addicted to certain shows (current obsessions: The Walking Dead and Game of Thrones) and watch a million episodes and go into a couch coma in the process. So worth it.
My nap was lovely and I woke up ready to get my bake on. My Grandma had a delicious homemade dinner planned for my extended family, and since I take every opportunity to bake and bring dessert cake, I jumped at the chance to try a new devil’s food cake with chocolate buttercream frosting. It was a dream served with Haagen-Daz ice cream!
That’s about all I did for today. The plans for tomorrow include tennis with Kyle, Farmer’s Market, and more relaxation!
Stay chill (like these sassy giraffes)
