If you think anything like me, you’re probably going through that omghowisitalready[insert month] phase right about now. It happens to me every time we enter into a new month and it always catches me off guard. How can days seem so long, yet months and years so short? Time seriously needs to put on the brakes.

So May! YES! Exciting things happening this month including my first half marathon, Norwegian constitution day (norsk food <3), and Mother’s Day! Do you have any plans yet?

Growing up, we used to have a big brunch at one of the Aunt’s houses (I live 5 minutes downhill from my Grandparents and 5 minutes uphill from 3 of my cousins and their parents) to celebrate. These brunches included lots of crustless sandwiches, finger food, and plenty of dessert. I’m up at school and not in my hometown, so the typical Mother’s Day brunch isn’t an option. Mother’s Day actually falls the day after my half marathon, so my parents are coming up to Santa Barbara to support me and my sister (*cough* to wine taste in Solvang *cough*).
