It feels like forever and a day since I lasted posted, and, even if it’s only been a little over a week, I’ve missed blogging like crazy!
I can’t even begin to express how hectic things have been in my life lately and I’ve almost felt as if I’m drowning under all the work and studying that college has been throwing at me. I’m talking waking up at 6 and not ending till 1-2 in the morning and repeating that for almost two weeks. That, coupled with getting pretty sick (almost better!), has left me feeling worn to the bone and uninspired in terms of cooking, exercise, and incorporating “fun” into my life.
The life of a Biology major, man!
Anyways, enough complaining. Long story short, I’m ridiculously happy and relieved to have time to blog again and am really looking forward to catching up with all of you crazy kids as well! Expect some new recipes soon and my regular posting to return!
Some other random things:
- These new boots that I just ordered at a steal price. Obsessed. Hautelook is amazing!
- I’ve been thinking about rewarding myself with a fitness treat! I’m thinking either a garmin or tennis racket. Thoughts?
- Pretty sure I’ve overdosed on coffee. I never thought I’d reach that point, but I’ve been inhaling it like it was liquid gold for the last couple of weeks. Pray that it wears off!
- This guy is my rock. Honestly, I’m not even sure how he puts up with me when I get stressed out and hormonal haha, sometimes I can’t even stand myself ;). The other day, we had a delicious lunch date at a quaint Italian restaurant in Santa Barbara.
This post has been a little all over the place, but it’s great to be back!

We all need those persons by our side who just calms us down when times get hectic. Nice thing that Kyle is one of them!
So sorry girl that you are so damn busy at the moment. I missed your posts and I am happy to hear from you. One thing to cheer you up: for all of the stress you go through right now there will come a time where you don’t have anything to do at all. Guess that’s the up and down of being a student. My last semester was crazy as hell and now I “only” have to write my masters thesis – no classes at all.

I took a break from blogging and blog reading my senior year of college, so I understand where you’re at right now! Keep it going! It will be over soon 😀 College is definitely stressful. I always tell my mom I would never bring a guy into my life right now because I can barely stand myself, so you definitely just made me LOL. 😉

Was wondering where you’ve been! There are days when I miss college…and then I remember the craziness of exams and that feeling goes away. It’ll be over before you know it so relish in every moment!

Omg those boots! I am kicking myself for not opening my HauteLook emails recently! I was a chem major in college so I know well the insane schedule that comes with the sciences, sounds like you are rocking it though!

Glad to see you back again! It really sounds like you had a rough time. Studying can be so stressful it’s hard to believe the boatload of work will ever end. Add in being sick … Keep going!
About the reward [and I totally think you deserve one!]; go for the Garmin! Not like I was biased being a runner and wanting one myself ;).

Im not sure why, but just hearing you talk about your man makes me tear up.. in a good way. Perhaps im just a hopeless romantic, but hearing and seeing two people madly in love brightens my day and heart <3

It’s great to see you back! I was wondering where you’ve been, but had a feeling school has probably gotten a little bit crazy.
It’s important to focus on school, but it’s great that you’re taking those little breaks to hang out with Kyle.
Hopefully you get a bit of a break soon!
xoxo Jackie
