MIMM: Great Friends, Meteor Showers, and Giraffes

Marvelous is a new top and date night!

Yesterday, Kyle and I went out with some friends to grab some Korean barbecue for dinner and watch a meteor shower. I wore a new striped top ($16 from TJ Maxx, holla at me) and loved the slightly cooler weather and wearing my boots again! Fall is comin’, and that means the return of pumpkin spice lattes at Starbucks. Woo!

On Sunday, I went for a nice and relaxing walk with one of my oldest friends, Karissa, followed by the most delicious brunch at a cute little cafe. It was so nice to get to see her (she had been doing charity work in Costa Rica) and talk about what has been going on in our lives! The food hit the spot as well! I also met up with five other of my old school friends at Starbucks and just sat, chatted, and laughed obnoxiously for over two hours. It was glorious!

I have my mind set on creating a fun little project. I won’t go into it much now, but it involves lots of sparkly ribbon. Yes.

Marvelous is a sore butt.

I did this workout again (it was leg day), and my booty is definitely feeling it haha!  I always second  guess myself after a workout and wonder if I did enough to get sore, and this time I can tell it was a good one!

Marvelous is lazy mornings with my giraffe cup and netflix.

I’m obsessed with this cup, to say the least. It forces me to drink copious amounts of coffee, though, because I need to save the little guy from drowning!

And lastly, marvelous is cooking and baking!

Sorry to bombard you guys with recipes lately, but I honestly adore cooking and am thinking about making Apple of My Eye into a half fitness and half recipe/cooking blog. Hope that’s fine with you!

Have an amazing start to the week!

Ok that is an awesome TJ maxx top (seriously must have been an amazing weekend there since i scored a new running jacket there super cheap!). I can’t wait to break out my fall stuff again :) Still too warm here but hopefully soon! I love that giraffe mug, too! Where did you find that?? It’s adorable :)

Um okay so where did you find that giraffe mug?!?! I HAVE to have one of those!! I’ve never seen anything so adorable in my life! 😀
So glad you were able to hang with you friends! There’s seriously nothing better!
Oh and yes, totally fine to become more baking/cooking oriented. 😉 Your recipes are awesome!

You definitely won’t find me objecting to more recipes – you come up with such mouthwatering ones! And I’m so with you on being excited about the coming of fall. I love summer, but the sights, smells, foods, and fashions of fall will always be my favourite. Ask me again when winter hits, and I’m sure I’ll be singing a different tune though 😆

    Happy Monday, girl!

We should swap recipes some time! Your latest beef dish makes me salivate ;). Hahaha I’m the same! As soon as it gets a little too cold I’m probably the worst complainer and unpleasant person to be around!

Hi there! I just found your blog – it’s adorable! Sounds like you had an awesome weekend! I totally have a favorite coffee mug too – makes mornings more manageable :)

That’s definitely fine with me! That’s what I’m trying to do except I need to post more on fitness. Haha. I’m actually getting excited for fall too! I think it’s my favorite season. Love the color of the leaves, the crisp air, boots n scarves and everything pumpkin!

Oooh I love your new top! I’m not excited for fall – I wish I lived in a year-round NICE climate so I could actually enjoy the seasons and not dread winter.
But I have to admit, I’m looking forward to getting my pumpkin fix. 😉

Okay, sorry, but I think I’ll have to steal your giraffe mug. Just how cute is that?
So glad to hear you got the chance to catch up with old friends this weekend. I’m in serious need of that, too – if only finding a date that fits for everyone wasn’t that hard.
I’m undecided as of yet whether or not I’m looking forward to fall. The perspective of being able to wear boots again might make me like it a little better, though.

I’m totally fine with more recipes! Your leg workout looks a lot like the one I just finished writing out for tomorrow, haha. Gotta love leg day! I’m also super excited for fall, it’s by far my favorite season!

P.S…I can’t wait to see what your fun and oh-so-secretive DIY project is!!

With the amount of drool worthy recipes you have, I cannot wait to see the new direction of this blog! And lol, at the giraffe in the cup- I’d be freaked I’d end up swallowing it while downing the coffee!

I LOVE that mug! I would also have to down every beverage in it though just to rescue the giraffe…he’s too cute! :)
