Drowning in Sweat

Today started off with an early morning run. I wasn’t too much in the mood to go out and almost justified not working out since I have a big paper due tomorrow, but I haven’t moved in the last couple of days and I knew I would feel better after. And, as always, I didn’t regret lacing up my running shoes :).

Even though I was out decently early, it was HOT HOT HOT and I thought I was going to die for a good portion of my loop. I’m still happy with my times, though, and am looking forward to going on some cooler night runs this weekend. Hopefully I won’t drown in my own sweat like I did today 😉

I’m loving the Run Keeper app. It does such an awesome job with accurately tracking my runs and I’m a sucker for the stats it shows me. Oh, and it sends me the BEST emails after every jog I go on.

After my run I worked on my essay before eating a pretty standard breakfast with Kyle. Nothing like a PB and J banana.

Then it was back to work until I had to leave to go to class. I love the weather now (as long as I’m not running!)

I didn’t shower after running ;). Shhh.

I also had an exciting moment where I checked my Pinterest and saw that someone had repinned one of my workouts! It’s the little things, right?

The plan for the rest of the day is to finish writing a copiously long history paper and then grab some dinner with the boy friend. I can’t wait to get that bugger done!

    Hahaha I’d run too if I had someone sending me emails like that! I don’t typically carry my phone with me, but maybe I should!

    Why yes, it is the little things. :) I used an app on my phone for about 4 days before the GPS got all wonky and it would tell me that I had run like 15 miles, halfway across Houston, in a half an hour…yeeeeah, no. I got so fed up with it that I just bought a Garmin, hah.

      Hahaha that would be SO frustrating. I would love a garmin but can’t justify the cost until I start getting more mileage under my shoes 😉

    I really need to get a smartphone, as it sounds like their apps are super great for general fitness adventures (and not getting lost on a run, which is a common problem 😉 )! Have a good weekend!

      You would be BLOWN away by how many resources there are! I get so distracted whenever I start looking into the health and fitness ones. Hope you have a wonderful weekend too :)

      Thanks girl! They’re a result from a copiously long time in braces and I still wear a retainer at night haha. Please tell me how you like it if you do! It really is one of my favorite apps now :)

    Great run! And it really is little things like that…I tell my hubby all the time that I’m such a dork because I get excited when people comment on my blog or ask me a question about something I’ve done :)

    Bahaha that’s a pretty sexy email you got! I may have to trade in Map My Run for an upgrade to this bad boy! Way to go on your times!! Isn’t it amazing how much tougher it is when you’re hot? It zaps your energy so much faster! Amen on the little things…life would be dull without them :)

      Hahaha and it’s not the first one too of its kind! You definitely should ;). I’ve used Map My Run before and didn’t like it nearly as much. It literally is 20 million times harder in hotter weather.
