Porcelain Chic

Hi friends!

I’m going to do something new today and share a little bit of my weekend wear. Lately, I’ve been feeling that I want to make my blog more reflective of my life as a whole. Apple of My Eye has gone through a good amount of transitioning over the last few years as I’ve played around with it being an online diary to a fitness blog to a food blog. As it turns out, it’s not as easy as I thought to find my niche on the internet machine! I’ve decided that I want to combine all of my interest into my site, so this means I’m going to mashup recipes, random rambles, fashion, health, and anything else that strikes my fancy. Hope that flies with all of you lovely readers! I’m also totally open to suggestions for blog post ideas if you have any you’d like to see :). Just leave a comment or shoot me an email!

Outfit details at the bottom of the post!

This was my outfit on Saturday and I want to give a big thank you to Kyle for helping me with these photos! We’re both back in our hometown for the long weekend (I came back for one of my best friend’s birthday party) and we had a lot of laughs as I tried to teach Kyle how to use my camera and simultaneously tried my best to strike some non-awkward poses. Someone please tell me what I should do with my hands 😯 .

I took these while changing my settings to shoot multiple photos/second for some walking photos, and couldn’t help but post a photo of Kyle being my test subject. Ain’t he a cutie? I promise he’s much more cheerful and less intense-looking in person hahah.

And this is what happens when you try to take a selfie with a 50mm lens on a DSLR camera. So much face!

SO cute! Loving the shots, lady! And the outfit is gorgeous as well.

I kind of feel like I’m in a similar place with my blog right now. Still loving the recipes, but also wanting to include a bit more of my other interests. Them niches are evasive little suckers.

Looking GORGEOUS, Christine! The whole outfit works perfectly on you. By the way, it’s nice to actually see another woman with some thighs. I mean it! I have thicker thighs, and always have, and I love them. But it seems to be more of a rarity in the “healthy living/food blogger” community, so kudos to showing off those legs! You and Kyle are adorable. :)

    1. You look beautiful and I love the “porcelain chic” look!
    2. I’m loving your blog’s new direction! I personally love when a blog doesn’t just focus on only one part of someone’s life, i.e. cooking or fashion. Everyone’s lives have lots of things going on, not just 1 thing like cooking, so I love when their blogs reflect that. To me, it’s a lot more interesting and feels more authentic :)

GIRL. These are incredible!! Like seriously, these should all be going viral on Pinterest. They’re perfect. Do you have a vignette on these? They seem darker on the edges. An idea for a post is a photo tutorial! I’ve gotten requests for them and I’d love to see yours 😀

STOP. I’m seriously blushing right now haha! I wish they’d get more on Pinterest. My Pinterest game has gone way down these last few months. These do have a vignette on them! Along with some other edits that I did. I really love lots of light in my images, so I usually lighten them even if they seem okay at first. I can definitely do a photo tutorial! That sounds like a ton of fun :). Do you mean just my editing process?
