Hello and happy hump day! Since I usually post what I eat on Tuesday, I decided to just include the other things that went on yesterday as well.
Breakfast: Fruit salad with granola and cottage cheese for some protein. COFFEE!
Lunch: Hayuuuggeee salad with some honey mustard dressing. And a SUPER delicious spiced chicken burrito as well.
Dinner: Spaghetti with both meat sauce and pesto sauce with some caesar salad and a small piece of garlic bread.
I wasn’t feeling at all hungry, so dinner was a little on the small side for me.
Snackage: The lazy girl’s way of eating a banana and PB.
After eating, I read some blogs and got inspired to go on a run. Let me tell you, running after a spaghetti dinner is probably the worst idea anyone has ever had in the existance of forever. I ran two miles before calling it quits and walking a quarter of a mile home.
I felt pretty gross and sick, but the walk back helped me get back some bounce to my step and I joined some friends for Zumba! We even managed to persuade Hot Ryan to come dance with us. That boy sure knows how to get down and shake dat ass ;). He particularly excels at the sultry dance moves.
Zumba was a ton of fun, but like usual, I looked like a total goof trying to keep up with the instructor. My sport since I was 5 years old has always been soccer (I was captain of a Club team for the last 6 years!) and I’m the most uncoordinated person ever when it comes to dancing. I kid you not when I say that Hot Ryan is a better dancer than I am ;).
After our workout, some of my main ladies and I tried out a homemade honey facial. I’m not sure if it actually worked any magic on my skin, but it tasted delicious!
The rest of the night is going to include a coffee/chocolate date with my love bug and studying a bit for my upcoming finals.
I hope everyone else had some wonderful eats as well!
xoxo Christine

YAAYAYAYA I’m the biggest zumba fan out there. Like, it’s embarrassing how much I love it. I almost cried last night when it was the last class my instructor was teaching at that gym. Who cares if we look like goofballs? It’s SO MUCH FUN
Christine says
Haha I read your post on how it was the worst thing ever! I definitely can see how it could get addicting after you learn all the moves 😉
Eating 4 Balance says
I love zumba! I haven’t taken a class in forever (try a few years!) but it is so much fun! One of my top favorite exercises for sure.
Hope you had fun on your coffee date!
Christine says
It such a fun way to exercise! Thanks girl, our coffee dates are always so nice
Beth @ Mangoes and Miles says
Uhm, so I want your breakfast. I may actually make my own version of that for lunch; it looks fabulous! I’ve never tried Zumba…I feel like I’d look like a total goof. Maybe when I get back to school I might give it a go!
Christine says
It’s literally my favorite breakfast ever. You should definitely try it. I suggest bringing a friend so you feel like it’s okay to look silly since someone else is probably just as bad as dancing hahah 😉
Amanda @ .running with spoons. says
Is running after a spaghetti dinner as bad as running after a Mexican one? Because that’s an absolute nightmare 😆 And I’m more than willing to make a sacrifice and help you go through those 4 lbs of chocolate 😉
Happy Wednesday, girlie!
Christine says
UGH I think they’re both horribly awful! You’re such a sweetie 😉
Jamie H. says
Cool that you got hot ryan to go to Zumba I must try it sometime!
Christine says
Haha he’s a gem. You should!
Alex @ Brain, Body, Because says
You and your boo are so cute together! Love it!
Hahahaha, zumba, yeah. I look like a huge goof, but it’s so much fun! The instructors are always so sassy; it’s awesome 😛
Christine says
Thank girl! I love that man to death. Haha I second the sassiness. And I love the bright colors everyone always wears!
Theresa @ aspoonfulofsunshine says
Oh my goodness, I might have just stalked your entire blog! SO glad to see that there is another UCSB blogger out there, but this means we MUST grab coffee together or something! Seeing you the map from your run is too funny because you ran right by my house!!!
Christine says
I did the exact same thing for your blog! I know right?! How weird is it that we found each other! YES! Coffee date at Starbucks or any of the other million coffee shops in IV. That’s way too funny! Do you live on DP?
Theresa @ aspoonfulofsunshine says
No, I live on Trigo, but close to the corner of Camino del Sur! Coffee? Yes please! I can always use some more caffeine pulsing through my veins during finals week! There is another food blogger that goes to UCSB, we should definitely figure something out in the next week!
Charlotte @ Commitness to Fitness says
Hahaha love your pb/banana style!! and omg i neeeeed to try zumba! it sounds so much fun, i’ll probably be completely spastic but i dont even mind
Christine says
I’m so lazy! It is a ton of fun! I’ve only taken a couple of classes, but I’m going to try to incorporate more into my schedule this summer
Miranda @ Miranda Runs says
Hahha why does Zumba sound like it’s so much more fun with your friends?! I tried it once before but I was the only one under the age of 35. It was awkward 😉
Christine says
It is so much better with your friends! Especially when you have a hulking 6’3-ish guy friend who is dancing with you- booty shakin’ and all!
sugarcoatedsheridan says
I’ve never done zumba and I’m pretty sure I would be the most ridiculous looking thing in the whole world!! It looks so much fun though!
Christine says
Haha that thing is probably me 😉
Emily @ Life on Food says
Zumba is fun. I don’t do it nearly enough. Peanut butter and bananas is the best!
Christine says
I know right? Best combo in the world! (other than coffee and chocolate of course)
emilysmilesformiles27 says
I’ve never tried Zumba before!! It’s definitely on the to-do list though (: I hate running after a big meal, but sometimes it can’t be avoided! I’ve actually had some of my best runs after big meals. Not sure why.. And wow I am jealous of those chocolates! They look so good (:
Christine says
It’s so much fun! Especially when you get to go with your friends. That’s so weird! I wish my body digested food better so I could go for more post-dinner runs and not want to throw up after 😉
Aurora says
I am so uncoordinated dancing as well! Softball was my sport…and dance and softball are not so compatible! I’ve been too afraid to try Zumba because I know I”ll be terrible. And here’s one- running on cheesecake…ick.
Christine says
Haha running on cheesecake sounds both delicious and awful at the same time 😉
jeri says
I know runners eat pasta for energy, but it puts me to sleep.
Christine says
Me too! All I want to do after a big meal is take a nap. Thanks for stopping by! You’re my first non-blogger commentator, which got me really excited
Kaitlin says
I totally eat my PB and banana with a spoon too! And Zumba is hilarious! I’ve been going lately and love it. It’s tough at first but you really do learn how to dance and shake it 😉
Christine says
It is so much fun! The atmosphere is wonderful. I’m going to try to go more often so I get into the Zumba groove and don’t trip over my own feet 😉
letsgetupandlive says
Girl, you crack me up! How did I not find your blog any earlier???? You might call yourself a goof but you just haven’t seen me “dance! yet – it’s a surprise I have yet to stumble over my own feet ;). Still, I’ve been wanting to try Zumba for ages but didn’t have the courage yet.
The picture of you and your boy is so cute! Good luck with your finals!
