Today started off with a quick 2 mile run at a little under an 8:20 pace followed by breakfast and then a speedy 35 minutes of leg weight training. I had to cut it short since I had a History lecture to go to, but I was able to get a pretty decent workout in. Usually I do full-body weight lifting sessions 3 or 4 times a week, so it felt weird concentrating solely on my lower body! A rough detailing of what I did:
- 3×20 walking lunges with a 60lb dumbbell
- 3×10 squat with overhead press with 55lbs dumbbell
- 3×20 calf raises with 115 lbs (holy burn!)
- 3×20 jump lunges
- 3×10 deadlifts with 80 lbs dumbbell
I’ve been having trouble getting out of the door quickly enough in the morning to get some longer mileage, so I’m going to try to be better about that in the future! I feel bad for everyone who sees me on a regular basis since I basically live in workout clothes. It’s a big deal when I make the extra effort to put on some real clothing and actually have my hair down!
Class was filled with tons of notes (plus a little side of blog reading).
Other than that, my day has revolved around signing up for classes next year and studying for my chemistry midterm this Wednesday. Also, I tragically finished my jar of cookie butter. RIP :'(
