Hello friends! Did you guys have a good weekend? I was going to start this post off with a rousing “Happy Monday!” but I quickly realized that that’s a bit of an oxymoron and decided that it’s better to dwell on the weekend while we still can 😉 . Here’s what I’ve been up to!
Friday was a big travel day for me as I had a meeting with my wedding photographer friend/mentor about some really really really exciting plans we have for the upcoming year. I’ll get more into that another time, but I’m beyond thrilled with how things are turning out and I think that these plans will turn into a pretty big life adjustment (life change seemed like to scary of a word choice so let’s go with adjustment). I drove up to Santa Barbara from the LA-ish area and back after an intensive 3 hour meeting so I was on the freeway for about 6 hours total that day. I came home, stuffed my face with dinner, and hunkered down on the couch for a movie and ice cream night with Kyle. We ended up watching World War Z again even though we had both previously seen it since nothing else looked all that interesting.
On a side note, how cute it this new camera bag Kyle got me for my birthday? Obsessed.
Since my brain was D-E-A-D after all that driving and planning, I went to bed relatively early and didn’t wake up till 9, which never happens to me since I’m a morning person in general.
Saturday involved camping at Starbucks to work on some freelance assignments, doing some blogging work, and designing a new photography website. I meant to go to the gym, but since I put it off in the evening instead of going early in the morning, I managed to convince myself that I didn’t really need to. Anyone else like that? I find that if I’m not at the gym before a certain time, my odds of going plummet.
Sunday was busy in the best possible way and involved going to church with Kyle and his family in the morning, getting an all-American brunch, an early afternoon nap, photographing Adam and Taylor’s senior portraits, and eating Korean BBQ. I’m not complaining!
I had Kyle come as well so he could carry a stool for me to stand on since I’m a shortie and so that I could snap a few photos of him with his little brother, Adam. THEY ARE SO CUTE.
This week is going to be full of spending more time on the blog since I feel like I’ve been neglecting all you lovely readers, designing my new website, freelance recipe creation/photography/writing, and tons of business-related things. I feel like I’ve been putting off a lot of little tasks over the last few months and I’m determined to check most of them off my monster to-do list. Fun stuff!
Question of the Day: What was the best part of your weekend?

Why are you guys so cute?! You are a fabulous photographer! Highlight of my weekend was getting a massage and going to a good yoga class.

Is that an oversized bear claw?? OMG I think I’m in love. The best part of my weekend and making soft shelled crab for the first time. It was easier than I thought it would be and super delicious.

A meeting with a wedding photographer?! That makes me excited for you and I can’t wait to hear about it! I’m working on designing a photography website for myself, so I’ve been creeping on yours a lil bit.

LOVE that camera bag! You and Kyle are the cutest, as always. Let’s see…best part of my weekend was spending Sunday at my friend’s house here in Indonesia! We played card games, roasted veggies & made homemade brownies, and played with their twin baby girls which was so fun.
