Thinking Out Loud

Woweee. I’m spent. I don’t know what it is about this week, but I’ve been perpetually tired from the minute I wake up to the second I go to bed. Scratch that, I always seem to get a second wind around 11-12 o’clock at night which makes me stay up later than I probably should. I guess I’m simultaneously turning into a night owl and a morning bird, which ends up leaving me feeling tired all day. Blah. Anyways, I skipped one of my classes today (something I never do) to give me more time in the morning to rest a little bit, so I’m feeling more energetic and ready to take on another hot library date with Kyle tonight. Since this post is already getting a bit rambly, I’m going to jump straight into my latest edition of Thinking Out Loud, brought to you by the lovely Amanda from Running with Spoons!

1. This Ed Sheeran song.

I hate to use it, but I think the hashtag #dying is necessary here. I first heard it when Kyle’s stepbrother’s daughter shared it on facebook and I can now officially say that I’m obsessed with it.

2. Speaking of music, I’m a little mad at John Mayer right now.

He has adorable songs titled “Something Like Olivia” and “Dear Marie” (my close cousin and sister’s names) but doesn’t have anything for me. WHAT GIVES. I think I should write a strongly worded letter to him and let him know that if he doesn’t immediately compose/record/market a love song with my name in it, I will no longer continue to buy his music. That’ll show him. Take that.

3. Every Fall I buy a new pair of riding boots to get me through the colder weather.

My foot attire for the next few months basically only include boots and my tennis shoes, so I usually wear them down pretty quickly. Meet my newest pair! Bought off the Nordstrom rack iPhone app Hautelook for only $40. *happy dance* I really love a rich dark brown for them since it pairs with any sort of outfit. Now I just need the weather to cooperate so I can start wearing leggings, slouchy sweaters, and boots 24/7.  image-3   4. This lil’ piggy, Nuff’ said.     First off….that cute little piggy photo I have seen many times and it always makes me smile. Thank ya!! :) Also, I am also now obsessed with that Ed Sheeran song–AFTER I saw the music video! Can I learn to dance like that?!

    I am the exxxxact same way with shoes in fall. If it’s not a knee length boot, or a running shoe, I’m surprised it’s on my foot.

    Unfortunately, It’s still a little warm in California, I’m dying for the moment I can ease into sweater, leggings, and boots. Yours are so cute.

    Ugh, JM is so rude sometimes. Love him but seriously “Something like Christine” could totally be a thing. Oh and that Ed song?? 1) that girl is a really good dancer–I was transfixed and 2) I found it way too amusing that the song is called “Thinking Out Loud” for your TOL post…

      TELL ME ABOUT IT. It’s like he doesn’t even know I exist 😉 .
      And isn’t that music video amazing? Apparently he’s never danced before and it took him months to learn the routine. So well worth it, though!

      Also, I didn’t even notice that!

    SO…I finally have a leg up on you on the weather. 😉 It’s been PERFECT layering weather here for a few weeks now, juuuust crisp enough to need boots and a jacket without actually being cold. And the rain has held off so far too! Hey – you Southern Californians have it good 90% of the time. 😉

    Annnnnd you seriously need to tell me if you adopted a pig to give you more energy or WHERE I can stalk that adorable little bugger. <3

    I need to make that Ed Sheeran song the theme song for ToL 😆 And I swear that part of the reason I love fall so much is because of riding boots… I’ve been on the lookout for some new ones, but I’ve still got ones from a few years back that have just the right amount of worn-in factor to them… and I know you know what I’m talking about 😀

    I cannot for one minute remember the last time I bought SHOES! OMG! I need to jump on this! My sneakers alone are like 6 years old! YIKKESSS! I know that’s not healthy!

    And that little piggy, OMG! I wish I could have it and it would NEVER grow!
