Weekend Things

Back to Monday.

WHY.

I have a midterm for my organic chemistry lab today and a lab report due tomorrow, so this post is going to be on the shorter side. I hope you guys had a great weekend!

Pizza Night:

Kyle and I picked up a couple of Costco pizzas for a pizza night at my house with some friends and ohhhhhh myyy gosh. They’re HUGE. And so cheap. A college kid’s dream.

I’m sorta kinda running more!

For me, the hardest part about running is getting out the door. Well, that and the actual moving part. So all of it, really… One thing that does make it a little easier is the view I get at the end of a certain route I go on:

On the topic of exercise, let’s talk injuries. Most people get them from doing extensive cardio or pushing themselves a little too much with the weights. I get mine from ramming myself into a table while out dancing with my friends and tripping up our stairs. Yes, UP the stairs. The result? A bruise the size or a crater on my shin and a strained hamstring. I like to tell people I got them fighting a bear. Obviously winning at life over here.

Swimsuit Shopping

I’m going to be vacationing in Hawaii in a month or so with Kyle and his family, so I’ve been in the market for a new bikini or two. As usual, I happened to fall in love with one that was out of stock the next day, so fill me in on some good online sites to shop at if you have any recommendations!

I’ve also been eyeing a few from Victoria Secret since they’re having a sale…

Bikinis 2

I really like the idea of teal and gold one, but I don’t want the girls slipping out all willy nilly and flopping around 😯 . Also, you’re welcome for that image hahah.

Mangoes

Yesterday I ate 3 full mangoes in one day. Today I’m left with only two very unripe ones and am not sure what to do with myself. If you haven’t tried them yet, pick one up from your grocery store! They’re the perfect summer fruit and I have plans on making a Mango Orange Protein Smoothie soon with tart greek yogurt and plenty of fruit chunks. Doesn’t that combination sound dreamy?

Question of the Day: What have you been up to this last weekend?

Cheap pizzas that look delicious would be stupid to pass up. Hawaii? You lucky lady! I personally love VS bathing suits & haven’t ever had a problem with them. I do find them to last quite a long time.

  2. says

Ohhh I like the first teal suit! Just make sure they come with lining.. I know sometimes VS will mark down swimsuits and then the tops won’t be lined and I’m like ummmmmm what’s the point?!

  3. says

I love, love, LOVE VS swimsuits. I always go there first when I’m in the market because I love their styles and I know which ones fit me… and let’s face it, shopping for suits can be a bit of a pain in the butt. And you’ve successfully made me crave pizza… at 6:30 AM 😛

I’ve always heard positive things about VS swimsuits! If I had the view you had while running I would definitely be a little more motivated to get out the door. Uh oh. You just made me realize that I didn’t get my pizza fix this weekend. Looks like I’ll have to double up this weekend haha

I can definitely empathize with tripping UP the stairs – it happens to me more times than I can count! I just keep on strutting like the rockstar I am. 😉

AH have fun in Hawaii! Don’t forget to do some hula dancing and see pineapple trees!

That teal and gold suit looks really cool and snazzy! But I say keeping everything contained is #1 priority!
That is really awesome that you have such a great view! and that your going to Hawaii! So much excitement! and that pizza. <3 come to momma!
A positive note about running into the table: at least your TOES survived. The pain and agony of a stubbed toe is horrendous!!
    Have a good day! :)

You’re totally right hahah. I don’t think people would pay too much attention to ow snazzy the suit is if the girls are popping out ;). That would be a little… distracting LOL.

And girl, I feel ya on the toe pain. I have weirdly small pinky toes in relation to the size of my other toes, so they get caught on everything. Why is that the worst kind of pain haha?!

    • says

Oh I agree! They’re usually over $80 for both the top and the bottom pieces… heart attack for my college-girl wallet haha! Ohh I will have to check those out! Thanks for the recommendations 😀

I fell up the stairs once at school and sprained my ankle. It’s a warlike flashback that I get ALL the time. Seriously it takes talent to injure yourself like that! Oh, and Cotcos in general is amazing. The pizzas are HUGE and super good (I had their veggie one at my Grandma’s house the other day, and it was so so good!) Cotcos seriously has everything a person could want. I love all those bikinis! I’ve had good luck with VS, but they’re so darn expensive! I also love Triangl swimwear! So so cute!

    • says

Hahah I agree- falling UP stairs takes real talent. Like seriously… who pulls their hamstrings/sprains their ankles from it? I guess us ;). We are definitely way to cool for life.

  8. says

Oh man, Costco pizzas are so good! I used to always get a slice every time I went there. So gooey and cheezy.. Now I am craving some, haha! 😀

I wouldn’t mind doing some sprints with a view like that. Definitely beats the treadmill!

I’m finally back from North Carolina, *le sigh..*, but I did hit the beach! BLISS.

    • says

Mhmm I love when you get a lot of good food! No pansy slices given out there hahah. And YES. SOOO much better than the treadmill! Glad you got some beach time as well :)

Everytime I go to Costco I tell my husband that we need to order one of their pizzas to go, and we never do! Your picture is totally convincing me to do this next time, Christine! And what a beautiful view you have for running! And I love magoes! I just used some in a smoothie a few weeks ago and it was delish!
