Home Sweet Home!

Happy weekend, all!

I’m happy to announce that I’m home for the weekend to relax and catch up on some of the hometown I’ve been missin’.

Early this morning, I went to the gym and got in a great workout. It involved 30 minutes of the elliptical, 15 minutes incline walking, and this awesome Youtube chest circuit workout. I only had dumbbells available to me since I went to the smaller gym that belongs to my apartment complex, but my muscles are already feeling pretty immobile and I’m sure I’m going to be ridiculously sore tomorrow!

e0e1ef21096c2279f8f132accd9bbcc8After my time at the gym, I walked back home and put together a hot bowl of my favorite Banana Brown Sugar Oats made with those Costco Quaker oats I’ve been raving about. They never gets old and I even brought some home so I wouldn’t  have to miss out them haha!

Driving in the pouring rain. I mean, California really needs the water, but it was terrifying at some moments when there was so much spray that you couldn’t see clearly. Not something I’d like to do again!

Don’t worry, Kyle snapped the pic! No phones out while this girl is driving.

After arriving back home, I scarfed down some leftover Chipotle and watched some Netflix under the blankets on my couch while watching the rain pour down. I couldn’t think of a better way to spend the evening. Another perk about being home? The latte machine!

imageMy mom had made me reservations for a massage at 7, so I went in and had a glorious time being pampered and got a bit of time in to relax after the last few hectic and stressful weeks. The one not-so-pleasent part of the massage came when the lady forget that I requested not to have my feet touched. I’m extremely ticklish and had to literally bite my tongue and dig my nails into my hand in order to not kick her in the face while she was massaging them hahah. Luckily, when she started on my right foot, I couldn’t help but jerk slightly and she remembered that that was a big no-no.

I’m hoping to keep this weekend pretty low-key and don’t have too many plans other than getting some studying done, blogging, gyming (because that’s a verb…), and spending some time catching up with everything you guys have been up to!

Oh, and in other important and life-changing news, I took this survey to find out what my inner potato is, and I got latkes. Good to know. Also, you should follow me on Twitter so you can get important updates like this one straight to your mobile device!

Well since you convinced me that I need to take this quiz… I am Mr Potato Head. “Congratulations! You’re Mr. Potato Head. You’re not exactly tasty, but you’re still super fun. You stand out in the best of ways. Even though you’re plastic, no one can say you’re fake. That’s right, Mr. Potato Head”

Have a great, relaxed weekend at home, girly!

Oh man, what I would give for RAIN. It’s snowing here like always and honestly I wish it was raining, because that would mean it’s above freezing. Or at least above zero… it’s -4 degrees here right now and -10 with windchill :( cuddling up with soup and Netflix sounds perfect right about now!

Ick that sounds awful. It’s been hovering around 50-60 degrees around here and us Californians are still complaining and turning our heaters up LOL. We’re such wimps compared to you!

I’m happy to hear that you’re getting some much needed time to yourself and getting away from the stress of school! :)
Oatmeal never gets old, neither does Chipotle or Subway. 😉
I am jealous you got a massage, but you deserved it!
I hope you have an amazing day.
My potato is mashed potatoes. 😀

Living in Oregon it rains allll of the time. We always have to drive in it, but people are not good at it. Gotta love massages, I’m not ticklish at all on my feet!

I have a friend who goes to school in Oregon and she is SO used to the cold weather now it;s crazy. Whenever she comes back to California for breaks, she’s always talking about how nice the weather is!

Jealous of your feet haha! I feel like I’m missing out on massage possibilities since I can’t get massaged there 😉

hahaha since I love potatoes, I just had to take the test. I got tater tots – not a bad result I suppose :-) Though I love me some latkes as well.

Glad you got to go home for a little bit – sounds like you earned some relaxation time, and when it comes to that, there’s no place like home :-) Have a great weekend!

Ooh – a latte and a massage sound awesome right now! 😉 I have ticklish feet too, hehe.
Congratulations! You’re home fries. You’re savory and you keep things real. You’re such a good comfort food, you are basically your own tradition. That’s right, home fry.
