Catching Up & Future Blog Post Ideas

Well howdy all you beautiful people!

I hope you had a relaxing and family-filled Thanksgiving and that life is treating you well :). With finals coming up in a week, I’ve been a bit stressed for time, but wanted to pop in with an update!

I’ve been studying…

Nonstop, all the time. This year has been an extremely difficult one so far for me academically (blame it on the physics, organic chemistry, and biology classes along with labs- yuck), and I cannot wait for the quarter to be over and to have a few weeks of rest during the holidays.

I went shopping…

While I was home for Thanksgiving, I stopped by one of our nearby shopping malls for some much needed shopping therapy. I scooped up three new dresses, a new top, some workout clothes (as if I don’t have enough already), and two pairs of earrings. Success!

I’ve been cooking…

I have a GREAT recipe for brussels sprouts that will hopefully be up soon! With it getting dark so early, I don’t have much time to snap decent photos and am hoping that my housemmates and Kyle don’t gobble them up before I can set my camera to them tomorrow! They’re that good!

And I’ve been eating…

Thanksgiving food and homemade biscuits and gravy made by his 93 (!) year old great grandma. They are out-of-this-world delicious!

I’ve been working on getting more organized with blogging…

Something I’ve realized over the past few months is that I really, really need to plan out a blogging schedule. I don’t like being so inconsistent with my posts and would prefer to update the blog 4-6 times a week, which obviously hasn’t been happening. I have a couple of posts in mind, such as:

  • Increasing your blog traffic through Pinterest (I can’t stress how many fabulous visitors I get through the site by using a few tricks)
  • Healthy recipes for the holidays
  • Getting accepted to sites like Foodgawker and Tastespotting (invaluable for traffic as well!)

So let me know if any of those strike a chord with you!

And now, back to the grind!

I’m totally feeling you–we’re in our last week of classes right now before finals, and all of my professors decided that this week was a fabulous time for exams and papers. Because finals aren’t next week or anything. I’m obsessed with both dresses you found! And I’d be totally down to hear about all three of those topics, especially the Pinterest one! Although it’s no surprise that you’ve been able to get a decent amount of followers from Pinterest because your recipes always look so mouthwatering. :) Glad to hear from you!

WHY DO TEACHERS DO THINGS LIKE THAT. Like honestly, we have other classes besides yours. Le sigh.

I’ll get working on that post! You wouldn’t believe how great of a resource it is for traffic and how fun it is to see who pins your things :D.

Hope you’re doing okay as well! <3

I would love to read any of those posts from you! I think it’s great when bloggers share their blogging tips.
I would love to be more on a blog schedule, too. I have all these big plans for the new year that I want to do, hopefully a few of them will actually work out.

You look gorgeous in those dresses, girl :) And holy.wow do I ever feel you on the limited daylight problem… I’m trying to work with a really narrow window as well, which is proving to be a little more difficult than I’d like. Looking forward to reading some of your upcoming posts on Pinterest and Foodgawker!

Thanks, Amanda! Isn’t it the worst? I feel like if I make a new recipe for dinner or any other meal it has to be cooked and ready for its fashion shoot by 3 or 4 in the evening at the latest!

Girl you look so pretty in both dresses! And I totally now how studying can just suck you in and there is no time for blogging – actually when I am blogging regularly that means that studying isn’t going as well as it should 😉 So great for you that you set your priority’s right!

Still the planned out posts sound awesome and I cannot wait for them to be published!

Thanks love! Hahaha I can see how that would be a problem ;). All I want to do is blog, read blogs, cook for my blog, etc, but I’m stuck studying for physics and chemistry (yuck- not the best tradeoff!)

You’re adorable.. and those dresses are stunning. What store are they from if you don’t mind me asking? I’m just in AWE over the blue one :)
